The Women’s Brick Initiative is excited to introduce a new way to learn more about our community members. We love how supportive the WBI community is and we think there are some members doing amazing things that we don’t know a lot about. Our goal is to create a close-knit community of LEGO enthusiasts. To do that, we are creating a member survey that will be used to create a profile for each member. These member profiles will make it easier for people in the community to connect based on similar interests and hobbies.
Some of the questions that are in the new member profile survey will be LEGO specific questions and some are just plain-old fun, ice-breaker questions. We will also be asking for social media and contact information (email), but all of the questions are optional to answer. All of them will help us and the other community members get to know you. This information will not be public unless you members specifically want it to be and participation in creating a member profile for yourself is of course optional, but we would love to get people more involved in being a community member and in learning about WBI and other fascinating members. We want to see what you are creating with LEGO and how you uniquely use LEGO to envision, build, design, and materialize some very cool structures.
Would you like to take the survey? You can find it here.
In addition to the member survey profiles, we will be creating a map using the member profile information. This will show in which country different members live, in order to help members who live near each other to connect. It will also be really cool to see where all our members are from and how global and diverse the WBI community is. Being visible on the map is an optional decision as well. We will let you know when the map is posted on our website.
We want to give you all a heads up on what is going on in the community and also want to encourage you to fill out the survey yourself. We love learning more about our community members and we think that these member profiles will help us become more of the inspiring, supportive, and creative community space we strive to be.
