I have a memory of having some Lego at age 6. Then in my 20's I got Lego for Christmas, Star Wars theme. In 2015 I took a Beginning Photography class at Los Angeles City College. For some reason I chose Lego Minifigs for a class assignment. That got me hooked! I started buying sets. My first big set was 10232 Palace Cinema. I love all the movie/tv and pop culture sets.

Angela Brooks is a passionate Lego enthusiast and builder who discovered her love for the brick in 2015. Drawn especially to television, film, and pop culture sets, she brings the worlds she loves to life one piece at a time.

What sets Angela apart is her creativity as a MOC (My Own Creation) designer. Her original builds reflect her wide-ranging interests and deep appreciation for history and culture. Among her most celebrated creations is a tribute to American Bandstand, capturing the iconic energy of the beloved music program. She has also crafted a heartfelt tribute to Colin Kaepernick, as well as a series of smaller builds honoring trailblazing women — including pioneering filmmaker Alice Guy-Blaché — and celebrating beloved cultural institutions like libraries.

It’s no coincidence that libraries hold a special place in Angela’s heart and her building table. In 2026, she will complete her Master’s Degree in Library Science, a milestone that reflects her commitment to knowledge, community, and the power of access to information.

Whether she’s snapping together a beloved pop culture set or designing an original build that shines a light on overlooked history, Angela Brooks brings intention, artistry, and storytelling to everything she creates.
